Future Angel III

last night upon the suggestion of my cousin I attempted to prime board using a latex primer . . . well really this morning before i left for work i figured it was something i needed to do. well while the resulting surface was pretty much dead on, the board warped . . . let me explain the process. I first laid a plastic sheet on the floor then poured the primer directly on the board then let it run off all four edges until it was totally covered, i then placed the board ontop of a metal bowl i have from my studio days (how i miss having a studio today) so that the ends would dry and not stick to the plastic. my plan for the board worked well, all except one edge of the board was 85% dry but the board was warped/hanging from the bowl on all four sides as if it were wet or as if weights were pushing it down on all four sides. I’ve not seen Masonite preform like this I may need to move onto something stronger.

on another front i have another board that i’d gesso’d a while back and i’ve started the painting/spraying of paint the more I look at it the better it looks only time will tell if this is a good or bad thing. If I had a photo I’d post it . . . maybe this weekend. I’ve just started a new job and I need to monitor my funds/funs . . .

so I gesso’d the board but it didn’t come out as planned I’ve been texting my art mentor Mike how/what to do with this thing if i can get it even I’ll be good or at least happy so that I’ll be able to move on to the next step of doing the background the the sky clouds if I’m feeling cocky then the over lay of screens on the left and right side. I want to do something I have a need to produce, I’m not exactly sure where it’s coming from but I figure I should use it while it’s here. I shot him and que a text message but I’ve not heard back from Que . . . Progress is being made!!
